DRONE

Add sizzle to your real estate marketing as well as the most comprehensive property views with aerial drone photography. All of our drone pilots are FAA Part 107 Certified and we carry commercial drone insurance, so your team will be following the federally mandated guidelines that only come when a drone pilot has both experience, and knows how to keep all participants in the unmanned aircraft operations safe. Please be in touch with our sales specialists to coordinate your flight, and to see if the location is restricted for drone operations. We can check your location and let you know if it's a good candidate for drone work. Please contact us to learn more.

SITE SURVEYS / VIEW INSPECTIONS

For this property, we documented the entire lot with the drone and then we also shot the "views" from the future project at the heights of 20' and 30' for the realtor. This would show the prospective buyer the actual future views from their windows were they to build here.

DRONE SAFETY FAQ:

To ensure a safe, legal, and successful flight, please review and follow the checklist below.
We operate under FAA Part 107 rules for commercial drone operations and our pilots are licensed by the FAA.

Before the Shoot:

1. Notify On-Site Personnel

Make sure all staff, vendors, or residents are aware that a drone will be in operation.
Inform people to avoid distracting the pilot or walking into the takeoff/landing area.

2. Secure Pets & Children

Keep pets indoors or away from the flight area.
Children must be supervised and should not approach the drone at any time.

3. Remove Obstructions

Move vehicles, equipment, or other potential obstacles from the flight path if requested.

On Shoot Day: What to Expect:

1. Flight Team Roles

Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC): PART 107 FAA-certified and responsible for the operation.
Visual Observer (VO): Assists the pilot in scanning the sky and ground for hazards. Required for complex or high-risk operations. Can be any other crew member who has received a safety briefing prior to the shoot.

2. Visual Observer Requirements:

Must maintain **unaided visual line of sight** with the drone at all times (no binoculars or screen-only observation).
Must be briefed by the pilot on:

Airspace restrictions
Hazards and expected flight plan
Communications and emergency procedures
Must not have other responsibilities during the operation.

Safety Rules for Everyone on Site:

DO
  • Stay aware of the drone’s location.
  • Follow instructions from the pilot or visual observer.
  • Stay clear of the takeoff and landing zone (minimum 10 feet distance).
  • Ask questions *before* the flight begins.

DO NOT
  • Distract the flight crew during the operation.
  • Attempt to touch or approach the drone.
  • Use reflective objects, lasers, or flash photography that could interfere with visual navigation.
  • Fly personal drones or RC equipment during our operation.

⚠️ Important Flight Regulations & Emergency Protocols

1. Takeoff Area Must Be Approved

The drone will only take off from an FAA-compliant and safe launch site.
Operations will be adjusted or canceled if the area does not meet **FAA safety or airspace requirements**.

2. Maximum Altitude Limit

Per FAA Part 107, the drone will not exceed 400 feet above ground level (AGL) from the takeoff point, unless granted prior special authorization.

3. Emergency Situations & Flyaways

In rare cases, unexpected technical issues, strong signal interference, or environmental conditions may cause the drone to behave unpredictably.
Flyaways or malfunctions may require the drone to be immediately landed, potentially outside of the original flight plan.
Please avoid obstructing the landing area or attempting to retrieve the drone unless directed.

Weather, Delays & Cancellations

Drone operations may be postponed or canceled due to:
  • High winds (typically over 20 mph)
  • Rain, fog, or poor visibility
  • Nearby air traffic or temporary flight restrictions (TFRs)

We'll work with you to reschedule if needed!
